Denton Dunn was born May 1, 1868, at Marshall,
Mich. During his boyhood he lived in Kansas and Maryland.
He was graduated from the University of Kansas in 1887 where he was
class day valedictorian. He studied law at the St. Louis Law
School, from which he was graduated in 1891, taking the thesis
prize. In that year he located at Kansas City. He became a
member of the law firm of Ashley, Gilbert & Dunn in 1897.
Mr. Dunn was treasurer of the Bar Association 1898-99. Among his
other positions of honor was the presidency of the Knife and Fork
Club, of which he was one of the founders. He was
also president of the Kansas University Alumni Association.
Mr. Dunn has written a number of legal
articles that have attracted attention. He is a member of the Commercial
and University Clubs.
